From the Video Links thread, Major Williams on The Huddle:

This guy is special. So many of us started noticing him around game 2 & 3, and IMHO he's improved every game since.
I've watched a lot of Huddles, and this one really stands out, as he sounds like a vet already. It's a lot like the Tim White one, except White has like 7 more years in the league than Major! He's got his head screwed on right, and you can tell he's been well coached for probably most of his life. Well worth the watch.
He talks about watching lots of Bomber film before the season, GC's etc., and studying top RECs like Kenny & Coxie. Also looking into why guys like D.Alford had so much success up here.
And maybe he's not even a scouting success? Because he says it was HIM who reached out to all the teams when the NFL cut him. Only WPG got back to him. Can't remember the name he mentioned, but it wasn't Danny Mac.
Does anyone know if he attended one of our USA tryout camps? Did he pay his $100? ;D Was he on our neg list? He said something about BC mentioning lawyers...
In any event, he's a great find, and a keeper. I think we're back to having one of the best DB corps in the league, and I don't think we've seen even half their potential yet. You know you're pretty stacked when your "worst" DB is Nichols!!
He's improved each game and is often contesting passes with the receivers. He's come closer each game with jumping a couple of routes for a pic. Solid addition and perhaps the best new DB we've had for a couple of years.
Williams said he started tackle football at 4 in Florida, he has at least 10 year head start on his Canadian counterparts. Not that that's such a good thing, common sense says it's not. Anyone here sign their kids up for football, if so at what age?
He continues to get picked on quite a bit. He is improving but gets beat on the reg still.
On the other hand Nichols is giving up big chunks as well.
I hope Williams turns into a gem.

I think part of that is defensive scheme with soft coverage so that DB's aren't being beaten deep. Adjusting to the CFL takes awhile as well but IMO he's improving each game.
I don't agree that he is being picked on, tested maybe but his grades are improving
Star in the making, lock him up
definitely wouldn't say he's being picked on. think that's moreso the scheme. and his tackling has been sound, which is not something we can say about a few other guys

My son played flag when he was 9, I think kids need to be at least 7 to sign up for that.
Looks like tackle starts at U10 in MB.
Kids can start hockey here at 4 years old, probably just as dangerous as letting 4 year olds play tackle football.
