Title: Heritage Classic October 25th.
Post by: Pigskin on March 28, 2026, 02:42:58 AM
Because of the Heritage Classic the Bombers will be playing there last two regular season games on the road. Probably not where the Bombers want to be late in the season possibly fighting for a home playoff game.

The other way to look at it is the Bombers are playing 10 of their first 16 games at PAS.  Their schedule is favourable to clitch a home playoff game prior to the last 2 games of the season.

Selfishly I like the schedule, since the weather sould be manageable for the last home game.

I don't know why they couldn't have held this game outside of the football season, not really sure why Oct 25 of all dates was selected

The Riders schedule is often set up this way out of preference I suppose, it provides a better chance to fill the stadium during peak season before the risk of cold weather sets in and discourages fans from attending.

I still fail to see the attraction of this game. Sure there's the nostalgic angle, but heck, sitting in your comfy seat with a hoodie on  indoors, or sit outdoors in the elements, farther away from the play. With all the outdoor games that have been broadcast, I don't watch more than 5 minutes, they strike me as a beer league game

Really, you could use this argument for any live sporting event.  Why attend any game when you could sit at home on your comfy couch.

People go for an expierence whether it's of value is up to the person attending.  Me personally, I went to the last one.  While I had a blast and overall enjoyed the games I don't think I'll be buying tickets this time around as the price vs value wasn't for me.

Tell me you've never attended a Heritage Classic without actually telling me.
