Appeared in all 12 of UCLA's games, starting 11, in his debut season in Westwood ... recorded 44 total tackles (31-13-44), one tackle for loss, two interceptions, seven passes defended, and one fumble recovery ... led the team in interception yards (106), tied for the team lead in interceptions, and ranked third in passes defended ... posted the second-most tackles among members of the UCLA secondary, and ranked fifth on the team overall... had a 96-yard pick six at the end of the first half against Oregon (Sept. 28) ... his pick-six was UCLA's first since Jaylin Davies vs. Pittsburgh in 2022, and it marked the Bruins' first interception return of 95+ yards since Ishmael Adams vs. Colorado in 2015 ... also posted a season-high eight tackles vs. Oregon ... notched at least one tackle in all 12 games, including 4+ in each of the first four contests of the year ... recovered a fumble in UCLA's season-opening win at Hawai'i (Aug. 31) ... notched his second interception of the year to help the Bruins to a win at Rutgers (Oct. 19) ... enrolled at UCLA in January 2024 ... earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for winter and spring quarters.

He's a tall one but not a heavy player for that height. Height can be a distinct advantage but also can be a disadvantage at times ( center of gravity thing ).
Outside if he can run with taller receivers is something we haven't had. I'm not so sure that would be a good thing at DHB or safety in the CFL. Will have to watch how he is used in TC and what his ability to change directions and move with receivers look like.
Another interesting prospect. I would think the CFL will be a transitional learning curve for him that may take time to adjust. Seems to have done well in college.
Seven college seasons is unusual.
He started his career as a receiver and then switched to DB. Could be an additional valuable asset depth wise. Might explain his ability to make INT's. Better than average hands possibly.

They've changed the w rules around redshirt years and injured seasons too. They're just providing a lot of ways to prolong college eligibility, even before NIL money.

Blue Bombers add former UCLA defensive back
WINNIPEG, MB., January 18, 2026 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed American defensive back Bryan Addison.
Addison (6-5, 195, UCLA; born: May 17, 2000, in Gardena, CA.) signs with the Bombers after a seven-year collegiate career with UCLA (2024), and Oregon (2018-2023).
After transferring to UCLA for the 2024 season, Addison started 11 of 12 games at safety, recording 43 tackles (31 solo, 12 assists), two interceptions for 106 return yards including a 96-yard touchdown, seven pass breakups and one fumble recovery.
Addison began his career at Oregon as a receiver, catching 19 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown in 18 appearances. Addison switched to defensive back for the 2020 season and totaled 51 tackles (29 solo, 22 assists), one tackle for loss, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 54 games (11 starts).
Seems to move really well for an extremely tall DB, excited to see if he can compete at the pro level, his highlight reel seems strangely abbreviated for such a long college career.
