What's a Blue Bomber memory you think about randomly a couple of times a year? Something unique (not personal, but a specific play or win).
Maybe do a google search to see if the video exists.
This one I think about a lot. The bombers were down my 2 touchdowns in 2 minutes left (I think it might have been down by 17 point with 3 minutes left). TSN already showed the updated standing with the Bombers losing. I was working (a kid working a retail job) and turned off the radio because I knew they'd lose. A friend who was at the game came in told me they won. I thought there's no way. It was a reminder to watch/listen/stay to the very end.
This crazy comeback win at IGF during the 2017 season. Absolutely bonkers!
Maybe not lesser known but I think it about it from time to time. :D

Ditto! Such a rollercoaster of emotions!

I kinda forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.
I think it was Zach's 2nd, 3rd start ever for us at home vs Stamps.
Escapes the rush brilliantly late in the fourth quarter then bombs it, it connects with I think D. Adam's for the winning TD to win.
That was like, Man we have our QB now moment!!

Often overshadowed by the Miracle Catch, The Thanksgiving Feast 2005, Winnipeg vs BC. This was Milt Stegall's 4 reception, 4-TD, 234yards recieving game, where every pass was a TD. Absolute classic.
Greatest WR ever to play the game in Canada, and I'll die on that hill.

Classic. Watched on replay with my best friends during my kids first birthday party the next day. Woodcocks girlfriend was a cheer leader for the RBs and that shot of here watching in horror as he throw up on the field was epic, lol. The Terry Ray celebration was pure gold as well, lol.

He got hid so hard he threw up his lunch. :o
Speaking of hellacious hits:
If only Odell Willis had avoided the horsecollar tackle.

LOL nice one. Nice jerseys to.
Always will be classic. The chain of events is uncanny!
This was one of my favourite comebacks.
We didn't leave early, but we did walk around the stadium to meet up with some buddies thinking the game was over.
Hogan look a like ripping shirt off in section S of the old stadium and putting on a show, unfortunately there was not a happy ending to this story :(
That section was so cheap and so much fun on student discount price back in the day, could also get away with murder back then, rules were not really that strict
OK a real football story Geoff Drover 1st Newfie in CFL for 10 years at that point
I remember a play (Had to research the game - Sept. 27,1981 vs BC) where Eugen Goodlow caught a pass and broke it for what looked like a touchdown. He ran 80 yards before being tackled and stripped of the ball. BC picked it up and ran it back the other way for what looked like a touchdown, only for Goodlow to catch up and strip the ball. Bombers recovered.
So, after an 80 catch and run the Bombers had a 1st down farther from the endzone than they started.
Plays I think about a lot are, the:
1. MTL Miracle game with Nichols
2. The Demski TD where he catches the ball in traffic and puts his head back, chin up and high-step out-runs everyone on the field for 35Y or so of YAC for a TD. Don't recall the game, or season -- maybe '19 or '21 postseason?
3. The Demski TD where he catches it like at the 10, 2 guys are closing in, and he casually slips to his side and waltzes in. My son and I call that the "I went theees way" play, in our best Mario voices. I think this was the post-season a few years back.
4. One more... the Demski big(ish) catch in (I think) the '19 GC where they slowmo replay him screaming and mic-dropping the ball with Steinhauer and Burke in the background wishing they had never been born.
Weird... there seems to be a theme to my favorites. Maybe time to buy a Demski jersey!

That's the only game my wife went to with me! ;D ;D She made me leave early in the 4th IIRC. We heard the cannons on the way back to the car. Sat there in the car listening to the 'OB. Neighbor had given us free tickets. My last time in the old barn. And last time taking the wife...
P.S. Kavis was a WFC coach once??

I think about this often as well. That was the beginning of the end of Printers.

IIRC, he was the DC in 2010. Then the team upgraded to Tim Burke for the 2011 season.

He never played another game in the CFL. The Bombers broke him that day.

It was actually his first start if I recall correctly. He maybe had a week or two of practice at most.

staples!
I think many posters are too young to remember the 1965 Grey Cup. The wind was so strong that punts into the wind fell behind Ed Ulmer instead of across the LOS. That resulted in giving up 3 safety's which was the margin of defeat.
That was pretty memorable but not in a good way.
The one I remember was when BC was at the top of their game. They had Roy Dewalt as their QB and the leagues best RB (just can not remember his name).
They came to the Peg and the Bombers ran a 3-4 defense for the first time that I can remember. Our LB's were James West, Ty Jones and not sure who the 3rd and 4th LB's were. They made DeWalt's day a nightmare as no one was really familiar with how handle a 3-4 (4 LB's) defense. I remember one specific play where James Wild Wild West stacked Dewalt in his own end zone.

Many Thanks! Boy do I remember Greg Battle! And Randolph was probably as good as anyone we have today. With those 4 LB's we were really fearsome!

The Blue Bombers adopted a 3-4 defence in Cal Murphy's first year as head coach. The LBs for most of the 1983 season were:
37 John Pointer OLB
52 Aaron Brown ILB
54 Vernon Pahl ILB
69 Tyrone Jones OLB
76 Ken Ciancone backup LB
James West joined the Blue Bombers late in the 1985 season. His first game against the BC Lions took place October 6, 1985. The Blue Bombers LBs for that game were:
35 Tyrone Jones OLB
58 James West OLB
69 Gary Moten ILB
76 Darrell Patterson ILB
31 Mike Robinson backup LB & TE
74 Vernon Pahl backup LB & TE
DE Michael Gray interception in 1988 grey cup near the goal line late in the game. First he tips the ball up in the air near the line of scrimmage, swivels around heading to the goal line. I think Bennie "the hitman" Thompson knocks the ball up in the air further and it floats down into gray's mitts! Basically won the game at that stage.

You forgot Delbert "Treetop" Fowler. Played lb for the blue 1984-1988.

I think about this occasionally as well. A bad interception at the end of the game and he was released on the following Monday. He had 7 years of NFL experience.
His release after the 1 or 2 bad games was so cold.

Edmonton @ Winnipeg Monday, September 17th, 2001.
This game was rescheduled due to 9/11.
They sang the American national anthem before this game.
I worked the night shift then and had to take a day off work to see it.
Arland Bruce III caught a bomb and dragged a defender 25 yards into the endzone.
Bombers won 23-22.
It's the first clip in this compilation:

The first game that game to mind was the East final against Hamilton in 2011.
Freezing cold out, sold out crowd, and we just rammed it down their throat.
Chris Garrett rushed 29 times for 190 yards and a touchdown, and we beat them 19-3!
This would be the first playoff game I was able to see in person, so this one is my personal favorite game!

Delbert Fowler was a great LB for the Blue & Gold.
He spent the 1985 season pursuing an opportunity in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers.
