LB Kyler Fisher back in action for Hamilton Tiger-Cats against Ottawa
By 3Down Staff -October 23, 2025
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are counting on a couple of notable defensive returnees to push them over the top in their hunt for first place in the East Division.
Rookie linebacker Kyler Fisher will step back into the lineup after missing last week's game due to a knee injury. The 24-year-old native of Farnhamville, Ia. has played 13 games for the Tiger-Cats this season and made six starts, recording 57 defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles, and one sack.
Also back is defensive tackle Miles Fox, who has made 24 defensive tackles in 16 games since coming over from Winnipeg in free agency. He replaces Mario Kendricks, who has been made a healthy scratch despite making 18 tackles and five sacks in 16 games.
Rounding out the changes is a swap at backup safety, with Ronan Horrall coming in over healthy scratch Patrick Burke Jr. American linebacker Ryan Meed has been returned to the practice roster.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (10-7) will host the Ottawa Redblacks (4-13) at Hamilton Stadium on Friday, October 24, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Redblacks, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, are coming off a 39-28 loss to Montreal, while the Tiger-Cats can clinch first place in the East Division with a victory this week.
The weather forecast in Hamilton calls for a high of 12 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers. The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in on TSN 1200 in Ottawa and the Ticats Audio Network.

DL Cleyon Laing, LB Lucas Cormier return for Ottawa Redblacks' finale
By 3Down Staff -October 23, 2025
The Ottawa Redblacks will have a couple of impactful veterans back in the lineup when they wrap up the regular season on Friday.
Canadian defensive tackle Cleyon Laing will slot back in at defensive tackle after sitting out since Week 12 with a calf injury. The 34-year-old has recorded just four tackles and one sack in 10 games this season, both career lows.
Canadian linebacker Lucas Cormier also returns to the lineup, though he is officially listed as a backup behind Davion Taylor. The 24-year-old suffered a head injury in Week 18 but has been impactful in nine appearances this season, notching 30 defensive tackles, six special teams tackles, a sack, and an interception.
To make room for the pair, linebacker Zachary Philion will be a healthy scratch, while defensive tackle Deionte Knight has been placed on the practice roster. The only other roster move is a swap of injured quarterbacks at the third-string spot, as Dru Brown is replaced by Dustin Crum in a paper transaction.
Tyrie Adams will make his second consecutive start under centre after he threw for 286 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions last week. He also ran the ball eight times for 26 yards. Drew Desjarlais, who did not play last week but was listed as a backup, will return to his regular spot at left guard.
The Ottawa Redblacks (4-13) will visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (10-7) at Hamilton Stadium on Friday, October 24, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. EDT. The Redblacks, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention, are coming off a 39-28 loss to Montreal, while the Tiger-Cats can clinch first place in the East Division with a victory this week.

Nice to see Jones caught on with Ottawa.
get past Montreal in the playoffs and we can beat Hamilton.
26-7 at halftime flatters the RedBalcks.
Hamilton has settled for 4 FGs and lost a fumble in the red zone. Woodmansey has the worst snaps in the CFL.
Kiondre Smith with a big half - 7 catches for 90 yards.
Is it over yet? I wonder when Bob Dyce is given his pink slip?
Boring 2nd half.
Shiltz threw 4 interceptions
Liegghio with 3 more FGs
Woodmansey sailed another snap over Mitchell
Ottawa added a TD and missed a FG

That's crazy?? How many years has he had to put a competitive team together?? They need talent in Ottawa, that falls on the GM. Pink slip city for burke

The Ko-man complainers need to see some of these comps before saying Ko is the worst C.
Ko-man may get creamed and beat sometimes, but I can't even remember the last high-snap he threw back to Zach. Doesn't matter how well you are blocking if you just chucked the ball 20Y behind the QB!
BLM has every right to be angry. Was it 2 bad snaps this game? They do that in the playoffs and they'll be in tough.
