Ive left off the good and the bad cause this game was just ugly despite the win
Coaching: how do you throw a deep pass when you need a fg to go ahead with less than 3 minutes, and Brady in your backfield
Zac - looked broken, couldn't make reads
Oline - sask rushed 4 and our 5 guys couldn't block let alone pickup Brooks
Penalties- any decent play was negated by penalties youd see in preseason
The ugliest play tonight was neufeld blocking the defensive tackle while the linebacker blitzed the A gap. Players playing pop Warner football know to block inside out, nope not patty, give em the shortest quickest route to your Qb. That whiff was disgusting. I don't know how Collaros can even huddle with those sad sacks, they're going to get him killed.

was that the play in the 3rd quarter where Zach got completely creamed?
The UR vs misconduct on Neuf to negate the Sterns near-TD was inexcusable. I haven't rewatched yet, so I'm hoping TSN showed it. I hope it wasn't bogus -- I'd rather be able to blame Neuf than the refs. And I have zero doubt SSK wasn't trying to draw URs on purpose, as they always do.
Sterns should have jumped/dove that last 5Y and he'd dodge that shoestring and hit the cone. We should have known our O would botch the gimmee TD.
And the outside run by Strev with 3 guys chasing him immediately was so stupid. SSK had the edge and the gut covered. Should have chucked it or left Zach in. Absolutely horrible playcalling in that situation.

Neuteld took a stupid penalty early when stearns took the ball to the one. Moved it back five yards. No t.d.
One of the plays where Zach got blasted, an o lineman went over to give him a hand to get up (they've had a lot of practice at that) Zach ignored him, declined the offer.
He's got to really be sick of that group. All season long there have been plays where a D player goes unblocked up the middle for a free smash at the QB. Opponents all know that play will be there.
Zach will be sore again this week.
good was BO's post game interview. dude diplomatically was royally ticked off at not touching the ball for 20 minutes.
ugly was MOS interview. after that i do wonder if his time has passed. not disappointed in the offense cause they work so bloody hard but disappointed they didn't see success.
It could have been uglier. Did any of you watch that decision making by Toronto Blue Jay's manager John Schneider to lose them that game.
It's not one thing, it's the whole offence.
O line can run block... but can't pass block
Quarterback ... we can see the problems
Whole offence... penalties, wrecking promising gains.
Receivers... can't block
O coordinator... seems to be unable to run the offence for a complete game. This game started well, then nothing.
Repeatedly calls plays that even I can see haven't worked all season. Gets away from the run.
The ugly...watching Zach get the crap pounded out of him, again,
Good is that the Defence played well.
Re Hogan... OShea went from special teams to head coach, so I can see why he thought this was doable.
I'm sure Hogan knows x and o and works long hours. Not enough it seems.
the BC game... Rourke seemed to be throwing lasers effortlessly, to see this right after watching Zach chuck balls in the general direction of players (ours and theirs) was jarring.
The call on PN53. The Rider player grabs his face mask and pulls him to the ground and then PD53 pancakes him. This should have been off setting penalties. However, if your 1st. and goal on the 6 and can't score, that's ugly.
Wide open receivers and Zach overthrowing them...
I feel sad for Eli, he was wide open and Zach leads him as if he was Wheatfall... but he did lie out for it, again, embarrassing.

I don't blame Brady for being p*ssed off, we all are too!!! How do you put the best runningback in the league on the shelf for 20 minutes and watch your offense struggle play after play on a horrible passing offense. Our offensive line can run block, SO RUN THE FRIGGING BALL you moron!!!! It's not rocket science, its common sense, lost on a guy who shouldn't be anywhere near a headset during the game. He is simply awful, awful.
And you could tell Collaros was p*ssed off as well, so when you have your 2 offensive leaders upset at the way the offense is running, it ain't long before the reason is dealt with. We have 2 more games with Hogan and he's done.

Here's the Neufeld play.

So if you grab the facemask in-whistle it's automatically 15. But dude does it after the whistle and he only gets 10 while Neuf gets 15? Command needs a brain transplant.
Riders do this kind of baiting nonstop every game. Have all year. Especially after a play goes against them, they bait you to recover the yards. This is part of why I hate Mace -- he coaches them to do this. I saw this constantly all game last night.
(Thanks for the clip GBG)

Ya, thought the same thing. A "real" REC and he'd be where the ball arrives... but Eli -- gotta remember his weight!! ;D
Glad he dove for it though, that's more effort than half our REC corps puts in. I want to see more plays to Eli, and Ike. Make the D's cover them.

Ya, but they did a very strange thing post-game: they put the post-game on-field Zach interview live on the jumbotron! They never do that, except in the post-season. I wonder if that was Zach's request, or WM's? Someone made that call.
I thought it was very nice, though a bit uncomfortable. Zach thanked the fans profusely even though they booed him at least twice in the game (not me though!).
In the post-game on bb.com Zach looked almost crying/emotional, real beaten down, saying the whole O was bad (including him). It's a new look for him.
He seems to be hurting physically and emotionally. Must be pretty tough after taking a major pounding all game because your OL is crap, having your fans boo you for your troubles, then trying to put a brave face on things. I'm glad he's made of stern stuff. I still got your back Zach!
It's going to get worse you realize!
It looks like some guys quit. Then again, that's ludicrous. The problem is in my opinion, the Offensive coordinator. He is in way over his head.
I noticed on at least one play we threw some sort of curl, and the other two receivers on the screen were open, and of course the intended receiver dropped the ball or it was contested, anyway, or wasn't caught. The camera remained, in the field area, and bith other receivers, shoulders just dropped and they just walked off. It was like imho, it was expected. And this is what they did, during a game the team was within 3 points of the lead.
I use thought what's going on.???myeah it was an awfully performed play, but we are on a crap team that is struggling, and within three, and you guys are letting it get to you? Ugly. Still two games to go, amd that's your opinion of your brothers?

If that's the attitude on-field then I would expect MOS to notice and step in. This is a HC thing, and a team-captain thing. Can't let it fester or take root. If some guys can't overcome it, bench them or it'll infect everyone.
I'm not a fan of Dickenson The Greater, but I remember one game a few years ago when they were like (2nd-?)last in the West and the guys were sulking coming off the field near the end of another loss and he screamed out something like "posture, hold your head up, don't let them see you like this". And he's right.
I hope ZC is at the point where he thinks when Hogan calls a play that isn't going to work and then over rides Hogan and calls his own play instead. What would Osh do...pull ZC? I don't think so. ZC has to call his own plays from now on.
The body language from recievers, Brady and Zach post game, all points in the direction that the players are sick and tired of the play calling and their OC. I tell ya, he's done, players are pushing back, if I was MOS I'd quietly take the reins away from Hogan and either let Jackson or Collaros call the plays. Hogan is absolutely lost.
5 straight drives in the second half, no touches for brady...no first downs
been hounding on this since the start of the season. the gaps in games where we go without first downs or one or two is crazy.
we literally are having to try and win games in 3 quarter of offense cause we disappear for an entire quarter.
coaches have no answer and honestly have rarely even acknowledged it. the standard response of "we need to play better and execute on our assignments" is long over used.
With all of our offensive woes, I have yet to see an interview with Hogan himself, and it is rare a Coordinator is interviewed, but I'd love to see him explain why our O line can't pickup an A gap blitz, or why do we go away from the run game for extended periods when our passing game stinks

Look in the video thread at the top of the page, Hogan has done 3 or 4 interviews in the last month or two.

Ya, Hogan's been interviewed a lot, post-practice. Much more than Younger. I think it's good the press is holding Hogan's feet to the fire more. The answers are still mostly deflections, though, so don't expect any juicy meat or mea culpas.

We may be the least-audibles team in the league. Rarely does Zach change the call, unless there's some obvious D setup that piques his interest. Even then...
Who was the guy audibling like every single snap earlier in the season? Ford? Cody? It was really strange to watch.
