that penalty certainly helped their field position

Montreal penalty gave the Lions the extra yardage they needed to kick the winning FG. What the heck 0.2 seconds remaining seemed iffy but I don't know it could be challenged. OTOH if the defenders don't touch him for a split second the clock would go to zero before they could call the receiver for surrendering as down?

when they showed the clock on the replay it was clear there was time left. was a great play to get them closer.  whyte is crazy accurate but not at long distances anymore

It think your over analyzing this one. There was clear time remaining.

What a terrible penalty for #66 Lestage to take there. Forced the Als to kick from their 15 yard line and ended up costing his team the game.

Looks like there'll be some supplementary discipline for a brawl at the end of this one too.
Go Bombers!

Throw Long Bannatyne

What's with the kerfuffle at the end of the game, the CFL needs to get after the coaches to contain their mouthy hotheads and cut this crap out, it's been happening way too often in the last 2-3 years.

I didn't record the game so couldn't watch it again. On TV they mentioned zero but obviously that was incorrect. Time left is one thing but 0.2 seconds? I don't know I've ever seen that. lol

If that had happened against us I would be pretty upset. The optics of the last 2 plays with 8 seconds left. A batted down ball at line of scrimmage took 5 seconds. An actual completion where the the receiver went down fast but not immediate takes just 2.8 seconds. Still can't wrap my head around this even though they showed the play again with the clock on screen.

We'll find out what kind of commissioner we have later this week. A message will be sent one way or the other. My own feeling is that he needs to come down as hard as the rules allow.
